Games played counts every game you played
After a game, your manager can tick everyone who played. Those games count in your games played and your record, even if no stat was entered for you, and you get a reminder to add your stats. Once your team has recorded who played, a late reply no longer changes it.
Clearer results
When a result is entered, the boxes name both teams and show who won before it is saved. Game cards name the teams in the result. Team stats open on the current season, and the goalie section is always there for sports with goalies.
On your phone
The bar at the bottom of the screen is now Overview, Schedule, Stats and Availability, and your schedule opens on the calendar. On a phone or tablet, benchli offers to add itself to your home screen, so it opens like an app.

Team stats, leaders first
Your team's stats page now opens with the leaders: the top players in the stats that matter most for your sport, with their photo and jersey number. Below them, one table holds everyone's stats; tap a column to sort it. Percentages are worked out for you, and a dash means no stat was entered.
A section for goalies
Goalies get their own section: games in goal, saves, goals against, save percentage, shutouts and goals against per game.
Tap the crest to see your team
On your own teams, the team crest now opens the team's page, with its stats. Teams without a crest show their first letter instead.

Add benchli to your home screen
On your phone, add benchli to your home screen from the browser's share or menu button. It then opens on its own like an app, with the benchli icon and without the browser's address bar.
Your profile photo, step by step
After you upload a profile photo, it now shows while it is being checked, and then whether it was accepted. If a photo can't be used, you see why: choose one that shows one clear face, with no helmet and no other people. One "Change photo" button lets you take a selfie or choose a photo you already have.
Import your schedule straight from Excel
You can now import a schedule directly from an Excel file (.xlsx), without saving it as CSV first. Dates and times can also sit in separate columns.
Reactions count once per person
On the team feed, each person's reaction counts once. Adding the same emoji again no longer raises the count, so the numbers show how many people reacted.

Goalie stats
Goalies and managers can now record a goalie's saves and goals against for each game, in every sport with a goalkeeper. Mark who played in goal, then enter the numbers on the game.
Stats you can trust right after saving
When you save a result or a player's stats, the game and the season totals now show the new numbers immediately, everywhere you look, instead of sometimes showing the old figures for a moment.
Importing your schedule from Excel
A schedule saved from Excel in Switzerland now imports as it is: dates like 19.09.2026 19:30, semicolons between columns, and umlauts in team and venue names all work. The template you download also opens in Excel with the umlauts intact.

Who is in goal
Hockey teams can now see who is playing in goal for every game, and which games still have no goalie. The goalie schedule shows each game with its answer, and the game's page and the roster show goalie positions too, so a gap is spotted early rather than on game day.
What's new, in the app
A new About page in benchli lists what has changed recently, so you can see new features as they arrive.
Menus on tablets and phones
On tablets, the guided tour now opens the menu properly in portrait and landscape. On our website, the phone menu now closes as soon as you tap a link.

Your profile photo
When you upload a new profile photo, your profile now tells you while it is still being checked, and lets you know if it could not be used, so you are never left wondering why the old one is still showing.
